The customers’ demand for alternative – chlorine-free – pool and whirlpool water treatment methods is increasingly higher. Ozone application or ozone combination with UV radiation or with hydrogen peroxide is a highly efficient solution.
Ozone ranks among the strongest disinfecting and oxidizing agents. It kills the normally occurring bacteria up to a hundred times quicker than chlorine. Because the oxidizing capabilities of ozone are remarkably higher than those of chlorine and other agents it efficiently removes both organic and inorganic contaminants. Therefore ozone is currently broadly used also in potable water production, mineral water conditioning, waste water treatment, air deodorization and other applications including ozone therapy.
